The identity
and the idea
After eight years of living as a modern nomad, constantly traveling and exploring the natural landscapes around the world, along with his own inner realms, David Björk found himself back in his homelands - working as a wilderness guide in Arctic Scandinavia. This guiding experience made him realize how hectic that industry can be. Even though the guests often were drawn to the calmness of the wild, they had to hurry through the tightly packaged tours, only to return home even more stressed out than when they had first left. The tours were so fast-paced that no valuable knowledge could be shared, and there was no room for depth and transformation - something nature is supposed to provide. The idea then grew of creating a retreat focused on survival and reconnection, and that is how Primal Nordic came to life.
With an extraordinary amount of hours spent in the wild, along with an unusual past of self-transformation, David has the perfect experience to guide us - not only through the forests, but also through ourselves. With a constant urge to evolve, and with a passion to encourage others to walk that same path, he seeks to lead his guests on a transformative journey through their inner domains while reconnecting with the primal force of our ancestors. “In these tumultuous times, the world needs to regain its balance - and that journey does not start from somewhere outside of us; it has to start from a place within. With that being said - let us make the world a better place by rediscovering the connection to the earth, to our ancestors, and to ourselves; so that we - rooted and balanced - can grow as individuals, and thereby, as a collective.”
